Retired Rockaway Rec Employee Timothy Angle, 64, Dies In Lafayette Motorcycle Crash

Timothy Angle, a 64-year-old Rockaway resident died from his injuries following a motorcycle crash in Thursday, July 4 in Lafayette Township, authorities said.

Angle was riding his Victory motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Monroe Road when he veered off the roadway, overturned, crashed into a tree and was ejected from the vehicle, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.

Angle was transported to a nearby hospital and died on Tuesday, July 9, Lebron said.

A lifelong Rockaway resident, Angle had recently retired from the Rockaway Township Parks and Recreation Department after 25 years, according to his obituary on the Bermingham Funeral Home website. Angle was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and enjoyed restoring antique cars and snowmobiling in Canada, his obituary reads.

He is survived by his two children, Elyse and Matthew, his mother Helen, his three brothers, Fred, Michael and Thomas and numerous other family members and friends, according to his obituary.

A funeral was held on Friday, July 12 at Bermingham Funeral Home in Wharton.
